AccuRX Patient Triage

North Croydon Medical Centre (NCMC) has teamed up with AccuRX Patient Triage to improve it’s service to our patients. AccuRX Patient Triage enables NHS based GP practices to offer online consultations to their patients. This allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their own GP electronically.

Text Messaging

If you have a booked appointment and we have a mobile telephone number for you, we will send you a text reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment. Please ensure that we have your mobile number and let us know if your number changes.

Self Check-In Screen

On arrival at the surgery, if you already have a booked appointment please use the self check-in screen. Once you have checked in, please take a seat in the waiting area until you are called via the jayex board located in the reception area and follow the directions displayed.

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

Home visits are a service for the genuinely housebound or seriously ill. If you think that you require a home visit then please telephone before 10:30am.

Please bear in mind that a doctor can see five patients in the surgery in the time it takes to make one home visit.

Change or Cancel an Appointment

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

To cancel your appointment:

  1. Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  2. Cancel using the GP online system
  3. Phone us on 020 8665 4757
  4. Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Out of Hours

CGPC Enhanced Access Service

The new GP contract requires local GP Practices to work together to deliver services collectively. One of the objectives of this contract is to continue to deliver services between 6:30pm and 8:00pm on weekday evenings and between 9:00am and 5:00pm on a Saturday. CGPC is working closely with Croydon Practices to support the delivery of this Enhanced Access service.

This services offers both GP and Nurse Appointments which will are available to patients, either via face-to-face or via a telephone/video consultation.

Croydon GP Hubs

Need to see a GP but can’t get an appointment? Our GP Hubs can help.

Call NHS 111 before you go to pre-book an appointment or wait to be seen without an appointment at one of our GP Hubs in Central Croydon, Purley, or Parkway.

Life Threatening

Call 999 or go to A&E now if:

  • you or someone you know needs immediate help
  • you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose

A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.

  • You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
